Balloon Race

Saturday Jon and I took Abby to the Balloon races at Forest Park. She got to jump in the bounce house and watch the dogs run races. She cheered on team Puppy Chow! They also had a petting zoo for the kids. She is finally at the age that we can let her walk and not be afraid she will take off running!

The Hair Cut !

Abby has been enjoying her swingset and back yard a lot since the weather has cooled off. She climbs up in her club house by herself and can swing in the big girl swing now. She probably went down her slide 35 times this day.

This is a picture of Beth trimming Abby's beautiful long hair. About a week after this I decided she needed more cut off so I cut it up to her shoulders. At first I was sad that it was so short. It looks really cute and makes her look way too old! Then I remembered that hair DOES grow back. Here is a before and after.

The Magic House

Abby went to the Magic House for the first time with her friend Molly Koetting. We could have stayed all day. There were a lot of activities for their age group and they had a blast playing at the water table. We took the girls to McDonald's for lunch and Abby passed out in the car she was so exhausted from her morning!

AUGUST 2008

This has been a very busy, fun filled month for Abby. We spent a lot of time playing inside last summer so we are definitely making up for it this year.

We started out the month with a trip to Grant's Farm with Jack and Henry Perry. They had a great time and for the first time Abby actually fed the goats. They are always too aggressive for her but she managed to muster up the courage standing on the outside of the pen.

We were invited to go to The Botanical Gardens with Abby's Grandma and Grandpa Fendler to see the Niki Exhibit. It was a beautiful day and Abby had a great time playing in the new children's area. She even ran in to her friend Samantha Koziacki while we were there. Grandma bought her some fish food and she got to feed the big Coi before strolling off with her PaPa.

On probably the hottest day of the year we took Abby to the Children's Museum! It was very crowded and there really wasn't much for a 2 year old to do. So we went to the aquarium and left.

Our next stop was Suson Park to feed the ducks. Unfortunately the day was cut short when I slipped on some slimy concrete and fell in the water. Of course it was Labor Day weekend and the park was full of people. Jon managed to hold in his laughter long enough to help me out of the water. We still had fun!

Lastly, a trip to the Zoo with Ryker Benz. Abby once again proved she has overcome her fear of goats by brushing them. After a train ride we called it a day.
